Financial Information

Grace for Africa is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS and is committed to maintaining low management and fundraising costs. It does not assess it members’ application fees, service charges or membership dues.

It does, however, invoice each member for 6 percent of the funds it receives on a member’s behalf. These funds help support some of the costs for its accounting and outreach activities and other member services. As a result, Grace for Africa distributes 100 percent of the money it receives and has been designated to members. In addition, Grace for Africa has made small grants to member organizations since its inception.  The size and nature of these grants varies with need and Grace for Africa’s budget. In 2017 Grace for Africa’s small grants totaled more than $20,000.

Grace for Africa’s own management and fundraising costs vary from year to year but average 7.6 percent of total revenue for the last three years.
